In order to be referred to our service, patients will have to follow the pathway with their local NHS Gender Dysphoria Clinic (GDC) involving psychological assessments and hormone treatment for at least 12 months as appropriate to the person’s gender goals (unless hormones are not clinically indicated for that individual). Once a consensus has been reached between you and two of your GDC clinicians, they will send your referral to the surgical hub with your preferred surgical provider.
